Q1 2010 results are in: Great job Sony Ericsson!
SE posted Q1 2010 results yesterday and they surprised most people. They posted a profit for the first times since anyone can remember. This was thanks to a higher average price per phone thanks to higher end phones like the Satio, Vivaz, and X10. Volume is off over 28% but profits are up. With the X10 expanding to other markets, the launch of the Vivaz Pro, X10 Mini, and X10 Mini Pro, not to mention Elm and Hazel Q2 should continue the profits.

Zylo and Spiro announced
Two Walkman sliders were announced today by Sony Ericsson. First up is Zylo. This is a typical SE Walkman Slider with 2.6" QVGA screen, 3.2MP fixed focus camera, Fastport connector, and is available in 2 versions, both with QuadBand GSM. One has Euro HSPA and the other has NAM HSPA. One unique point is the ability to play high quality FLAC audio files.
Next up is Spiro which is lower end, has 3.5MM audio jack, no 3G, MicroUSB connector, 2MP fixed focus camera, no FLAC support, and replaced the standard Netfront browser with Obigo Q7 web browser.
Both phones will be out in early Q3.
