Next announcement: Early June

Rumors are going around that next week at Java One Conference in San Francisco there will be a new line of SE phones announced. Also SE might open an Flash based app store. Java One Takes place June 2-5, 2009. Stay tuned.

May announcements?

So it is May now. When are the new Sony Ericsson announcements happening? We have a couple of events the SE is attending. The first JavaOne Conference in San Francisco, USA from May 6-9. The next is UIQ Technology’s Developer Fast Track events on May 15-16 in Boston, USA and on May 19-20 in San Francisco, USA. These are the big events in May for SE. Now whether they announce anything new at these events or not is a big question. The dates sound good has most rumors have peg the Paris announcement in the final 2 weeks of May, the UIQ event would be a excellent announcement platform. So in recap

May 6? = Announcement of new feature phones
May 15? = Announcement of new UIQ phones.

Next announcement?

So When is the next announcement? We should get info on April 23, 2008. Last year on the Q1 2007 Business Update webcast which was presented on April 20 , we got the May 8 date which is when the P1i was announced. This year it is on April 23. So one must assume a May 6 or 13 product announcement from SE. Could we finally have Paris and Beibei announced then?
