Paris Demo unleashed .

Xellar just posted the Paris demo video. It looks great and as long as the specs hold up, then we should have a winner.

Sony Ericsson June 17 CONFIRMED!!!

Looks like SE just confirmed the June 17 announcement with this invitation. What can we expect? Paris and G702 Beibei are almost given. Expect at least 2 more phones. Could Shiho be one of those?

New Paris Info

Seems like Elder over at Mobile Review put together a little article on information known about Paris. First it won't be as revolutionary as people expected. Hardware and platform will be similar to the G900. The main improvements seem to be built-in GPS, more powerful software thanks to UIQ 3.3, different form factor with the P1i/M600i QWERTY Keyboard, and Opera Mobile 9.5 with Flash Lite 3. The little difference makes for a small 50€ premium over the G900, which means Paris is looking to retail for 400€ or $630 US dollars.

New Paris and Beibei C702 pics

Over at SE4m.com forums they have posted new pics of Paris and Beibei C702. The C702 in black looks very good. Here they are

Sony Ericsson G702c BeiBei leaked on FCC

Sony Ericsson's G702c was released on the FCC website. We see that the phone has a flowery design on it, but like the W660i a darker version will more then likely come out.
Key specs include

• UIQ 3.3 <- First phone to this version of UIQ

Sony Ericsson Z780i coming to AT&T

Sony Ericsson's Z780i was just approved by the FCC. The pictures are of interest because they feature the at&t branding meaning more then likely we will see this phone on at&t's lineup for the holidays.

Sony Ericsson Paris announcement date???

Prudent over at Esato mentioned that Paris will be announce at Communicasia (CMMA) 2008 which is held June 17-20 in Singapore. Prudent is generally very reliable.

First up is the G700, featuring 2.4" touchscreen, 3MP fixed focus camera, UIQ 3.0.



The G900 upgrades on that with WiFi, 5MP Autofocus camera with touch autofocus, UIQ 3.0.



Then we have the Cybershots. C702 with 3.2MP AutoFocus, LED Flash, GPS, 2.2" screen



C902 5MP AutoFocus, PhotoFlash LED, 2,0" Screen



G700 and G900 will be released next week then 2 weeks laters we will see the C702 and C902.

Acrodea, Sony Ericsson enter into Master license agreement for global handset models

May 15, 2008 (Tokyo, Japan)—Acrodea, Inc. Sony Ericsson W62S spotted in Metal Gear Solid 4 MGS4

Sony Ericsson's W62S from Japanese carrier AU KDDI was spotted in Metal Gear Solid 4 (MGS4), one of the PS3's flagship games. This is no surprise on a Sony product. I wonder what phones James Bond and Co will be using in Quantum of Solace this fall.....

gliatiotis on Mobile-Reviews forums just posted a RAR file with 47 pics of Paris. Most interesting is the following

• 208Mhz CPU <- Disappointing
• 262k color screen <- Disappointing
• Camera seems to be similar to the G900/C902 ie small sensor, with single LED/photoflash bulb <- Disappointing

Hopefully this is an old prototype as this one is using an older CPU and the screen might only be 2.6" while other protos floating around have at least a 332 or 500 MHz CPU and a 2.8" VGA screen. We will see shortly ;)

Pics are coming out like a leaky faucet now. m-one published a screen shot from a Paris promo video. In this pic we see how the strip below the screen can display different touch sensitive buttons depending on what the user is doing (ie internet, media, etc)

May announcements? Part 2

Okay, so nothing materialized on May 6 with Q1 results and the UIQ conferences were both cancelled due to low registration. Next announcement rumor date is Wednesday, May 14. Xell over at Esato has given the following information on Ericsson's Capital Market Day.

HOT!!: New Sony Ericsson Paris P5i LIVE!

Well look what we have here from My-Symbian.com. These are the first live spy shots of Paris and she looks good. Can an announcement be too far off now? As previously mentioned, there is a UIQ event starting next week on the 15, Paris should be announced then.
